Project Manager

Job Title: Project Manager

Department: Operations 

Reports to: Operations Manager

Job Purpose: Coordinate and oversee sold projects in terms of budget and subcontractor management, and to build and maintain excellent relationships with Janus Europe clients.


Responsibilities and duties for the role will include:

  • Building and developing relationships with new and existing clients, most with an entrepreneurial background, and some strong personalities
  • Seamless control of project from sales handover to client handover
  • Juggling multiple projects simultaneously, and keeping all lines of communication open
  • Planning resources
  • Purchasing, ordering and expediting of materials both in house and from external suppliers
  • Surveying of sites in the UK and Europe
  • Technical support and liaising between sales team, factory and client
  • Customer-facing project and technical support
  • Budget management and control of costs, as well as any contract variations
  • Project and budget reporting
  • Management of onsite installations
  • Management of subcontractors and external suppliers
  • Budget, financial and contract management and control
  • Customer satisfaction and complaints resolution 



  • The role will involve a significant amount of travel within the UK and Europe, as the successful candidate will need to visit project sites on a regular basis. It is essential that candidates understand this, and are happy with frequent travel.
  • The successful candidate will need to be incredibly organised and able to juggle multiple projects and prioritise competing demands effectively.
  • A project management qualification is desirable, but not essential.
  • The successful candidate will be a qualified Quantity Surveyor or will be qualified by experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential as the Project Manager will need to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders at different levels: from clients to subcontractors to team members and senior management.
  • Technical knowledge of the construction industry is essential.
  • Another European language would be desirable, but is not essential for the role.
  • The role will be based at our Twickenham office, sits within our Operations Department and will report directly to the Operations Manager.
